learn savvy with interdisciplinary neuroscience and arts enthusiast

  • Driven by the quest for learning and opportunity for exploration, I am an independent, enthusiastic and passionate student in senior year at APL Global Cambridge International School in Chennai, India. I am a research enthusiast with a strong interest towards biomedical engineering and neuroscience and imaging techniques. My shared interest in arts and science motivates me to approach problems with an interdisciplinary mindset.

In a world where mental health is still shaped by stigma and misunderstanding, I want to work towards an inclusive environment where science and technology are used to promote understanding, accessibility, and evidence-based care. Life-changing research may begin in laboratories, but its journey to society is shaped by equally vital factors such as sociology, economics, pricing, outreach, and public trust. My aspiration to develop a globally accessible MedTech enterprise therefore stems from a belief in holistic learning beyond engineering.

I believe in choosing the unbeaten path that strengthens my passions for arts to build a futuristic, innovative, and inclusive science realm.

Research Work- Music and Movement Therapy on Neurodivergent Students for Mathematical Learning
    • Intrigued by the intersection of music and movement on cognitive learning, I conducted research on understanding different music scores and neurodivergent student responses to them. An analysis of different mathematical learning tools with music and movement was made and I translated the findings into research and was privileged to present it at the “Association of International Mathematics Education and Research” conference.
    • With approvals from her parents, the school’s music therapy team, and special educators, we conducted multiple observatory sessions to study the impact of music and how it helped students improve basic mathematical ideologies like pattern recognition and spatial understanding.
    • Tasks such as placing geometric shapes in the right silhouette and visualizing the classroom clock with clarity were monitored before and after music therapy sessions.
    • This research exposed me to multiple scientific research aspects such as subject consent, statistical analysis, evaluation of data and presentation skills.
BiomeSTAR Research Programme – Bioinformatics & Clinical Research
    • Trained in MATLAB for biological data analysis, including basic modelling, data handling, and interpreting computational results.
    • Learned to critically read and analyse clinical trial literature, focusing on pharmaceutical studies, treatment efficacy, and research design.
    • Gained core understanding of bioinformatics, including genetic variation, molecular disease mechanisms, and data-driven biomedical research.
    • Collaborated on a research presentation on melanoma, integrating molecular biology, therapeutic pathways, and emerging treatments such as targeted therapy and immunotherapy.
    • Explored drug mechanisms and translational treatment strategies, strengthening evidence-based clinical reasoning.
    • Developed scientific communication and research synthesis skills through a structured technical presentation and team-based analysis.
    Dance
    • As a classical Bharathnatyam dancer for 11 years, performing has taught me resilience, teamwork and dedication. Dance has been a place where I could nurture my creative thoughts and express myself evocatively. The precision and excellence it demands in every performance has pushed me to strive for the best.
    • Completing my 3 and half hour solo Arangetram performance which stood as a testament to my endurance, hard work and years of practice.
    • Leading team choreographies as captain has allowed me to collaborate with multiple dancers and understand different styles to incorporate within fusion routines.
    • Through dance I have been able to share, inspire and be inspired.
    Student Council

As school pupil leader for a student body of 1500 students, I was vested with the roles and responsibilities of managing, improving and leading  student activities and events for the academic year 2025 – 2026

    • Was an active member of team sports within my school house and during interschool events.carried the school flag on the prestigious annual sports meet to carry forward the spirit of teamwork, leadership and collaboration through sports.
    • I spearheaded & organized “The Synergy 2025” interschool cultural fest that saw over 500+ participants from different schools spanning over 2 days. The event required people and resource planning, marketing and social media campaigns and strategy and execution ideas. Weeks of work of multiple co-teams led to the success of the event. Created Digital design of brochure and invites for schools and social media aimed at improving reach and gaining participants.
    • Initiated an english fest for the senior school students to celebrate literature and language. Multiple events were planned as part of the organizing committee. Mentored subcommittee members on planning, guiding them for drafting idea proposals, networking and designing talks
    • Launched healthy eating vision within the school cafeteria and raised awareness on wastage of food and cutdown on added sugars to students.
Smart Waste Bin – Ideation Project
    • Was awarded 2nd runner up in the SDG innovation and entrepreneurship competition conducted by the state government of Tamilnadu. Working on a prototype that addresses the SDG goals of 6 , 11 and 12 me and my teammate designed Smart and Sustainable Bins to stay ahead and manage wastes better.
    •  Our proposed solution was to combat problems observed in the garbage bins located in the local community roads and garbage bins located in the corporate offices, colleges, large communities and buildings.
    • By integrating ultrasonic sensors with a simple detection algorithm and ML classification code inbuilt into the raspberry PI unit. Our model was built to address source segregation using solar powered panel units and robotic arms for waste classification.  Framework python code for integrating with object detection of waste material using YOLO v8 model and deriving the positional coordinates were developed.
    • Our casing design was an intentional choice to reduce implementation costs as  repurpose existing bins from the local community and create a custom casing around them. This approach significantly reduces both production time and costs, as it eliminates the need to design and manufacture an entirely new bin model from scratch. Harvard Undergraduate Venture Tech Summer Program – HUVTSP

The Harvard Undergraduate Ventures-TECH Summer Program offered a unique opportunity for ambitious, high-achieving high school students to immerse themselves in the startup ecosystem. This selective online program paired students with cutting-edge startups for internships across a wide variety of disciplines and industries, providing them with hands-on experience in the dynamic world of technology and entrepreneurship. Participants were mentored directly by founders and C-suite executives, ensuring personalized guidance and unparalleled insight into business strategy and innovation.

Hosted in collaboration between Harvard Undergraduate Ventures and the Technology & Entrepreneurship Center at Harvard (TECH) within the Harvard School of Engineering and Applied Sciences (SEAS), HUVTSP provided students with hands-on experience by working with leading startups and mentorship from world-renowned CEOs, investors, and Harvard faculty.

Through HUVTSP, I participated in a project-based internship with Reach faster startup, a leading SEO optimization startup. Through the internship, I gained experience into GEO optimization and using AI platforms for prompting and search engine analysis. Working with multiple teammates and building a business pitch including marking mapping analysis, GTM strategies, Heat map, and financial predictions.

Research Conference and Book Publication – Indian Council of Historical Research
    • Motivated by discussions on preventive health and the rise of lifestyle-related disorders, I pursued research titled Improving Modern Wellness with Excerpts of Health, Wellness, and Psychiatric Practices of Ancient India and presented it in a conference organized by the Indian Council of Historical Research in 2025. This was published in the book titled “ANVESHINI” on 6th March 2025 (ISBN Number : 978-81-973234-4-7, Page number 135).
